Harmless and unable to transmit diseases, these little wingless insects of fishlike appearance and movement, can actually live for a year without eating, but love to snack on paper, ( including photos and books), sugar, coffee, hair, carpets, clothing, ( cotton, linen silk and synthetic material), and dandruff.
Other names for them include carpet sharks and fish moths.
