Ladybugs typically eat on mites and garden pests which are found in the dirt, soil, and commercial fertilizers. They will also eat smaller insects, moth eggs, and some pollens. But, if there is not a sufficient source of food they will sometimes resort to cannibalism and start to feast on one another!

This type of insects is considered herbivorous, this is that they can eat of any type of plants but preferably they like those that have sweet components like the fruits or grains. On the other hand, some genus of these insects are carnivorous and eat other insects reason why they are excellent predators of malicious insects.
