I used a ready made Antique kit on my wooden furniture. It's really easy to use and doesn't take much time. The kit had a base enamel and glaze (I used coordinated glaze, but you can also try contrast glaze). Get it at your local hardware/paint shop.
Thanks for the great instructions. I'd like to add that you can use some textured glazes too for a great look using a cheesecloth, crumpled newspaper, plastic wrap, a sponge, etc. You should also use a high gloss varnish to preserve the finish and make it more durable. add a comment
