What do I need to know about Oregon Income tax for residents of Vancouver?

Is Oregon is withholding taxes from your paycheck? If so, you should file a Oregon tax return stating that you are a non-resident and would like your witholding refunded.

If you live in Washington State, which has no income tax, and work in Oregon, you must file a nonresident Oregon tax return. Since you will not be paying income tax to Washington State, you will not get a credit for tax you pay to Oregaon.

In North Carolina,and in some other states, taxes the people who come to work in their state as non residents. The employer will with hold income tax from the workers' pay wherever the employee live. If so in Oregon then you should file income tax as a non resident.
