What do I need to know about MRSA disease?

A friend was recently diagnosed and I am not sure what it is.

MRSA disease is caused commonly by a staphylococcus aureus bacteria and is seen as skin infections. The skin is itching,redness and swelling followed by boils and pustules in some cases. When the boils are there it is very painful and infectious also. This can spread through skin contact. The affected area should be kept clean and hygiene should be maintained.

Mostly disease occurs in Hospital, Health care center, Nursing Homes etc. , Its a pneumoial disease. Healthy body may resist this disease and may carry to other who's immunization is weak.
