Have a large tank, a water filter, change 1/3 of the water every month, feed 3-5 times a day and NEVER use soap on anything in the tank.

Goldfish are hardy creatures and make a easy and great pet. Fish you will need a large bowl or a fish tank. With a bowl you will need to replace the water daily because with no filter the water slowly become toxic with ammonia from waste. Other than that you will just need food and stable room temperature conditions.

To successfully keep goldfish you need to make sure you do not overfeed them. If the goldfish cannot finish their food in 3-4 minutes then you have given them too much and you need to remove the excess.
