Abnormal breast cells can arise as a precursor to breast cancer. If the cells are mutating then this can indicate an early sign of cancer and those cells should be tested to see if they are cancerous.
These are not cancerous yet, but they have a potential to turn into cancer cells and then to produce breast cancer leading to severe medical treatments that can be serious.
