Stage four cancer, is considered terminal. Treatment for this is often chemotherapy and sometimes radiation with the hope of slowing the progression of the cancer and prolonging the life of the person with cancer.
Many times at stage four, the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. At this stage, many times treatment is to ease symptoms and less for a cure.
