Discus look very similar to their namesake the 'discus', as used in track and field events. They are a tall, round fish that is very narrow. This allows the fish to move around tight structure to feed. They range in color, but you can find most of them with a grey or blue coloration.

Discus fish have a disc-shaped body, and are known for their many bright colors. They have developed from the wild Amazonian specimen.
