The correct spelling is actually Kari. She graduated from San Francisco State University where she studied film & sculpture. She was previously an artist.
Kari Byron was actually an artist before Mythbusters and had exhibits. She still does art (mostly sculpture), but no longer shows her work. She has a degree in film and sculpture.
