Do goldfish really have a three second memory?

On Mythbusters once they showed you could train a goldfish to go through a "maze" of sorts in the tank to get to its food. As the days went on in the training the fish went through it faster. So I would guess if they could remember where to find the food days later they don't have memory issues.

This is completely untrue. Goldfish, and other fish, have a much longer memory than that, as rather simply debunked by a fifteen year old boy.
