What could the problem be if internet explorer can not open a website?

You are probably using an old version of Internet Explorer. You should upgrade to the latest available version and also upgrade some web players (such as Adobe Flash Player). To upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer go to the official microsoft website. You could also try to use other Internet browsers such as Firefox

There is nothing wrong with your internet connection and Internet Explorer. There could be some maintenance going on the website server, or the website has been blocked.

That would mean that the design of the site was not configured for IE. It was created with only Firefox in mind, which was a mistake in design.

It must be because the specified url is not proper,and there might be some error in connection settings else even because the server is not responding.
