Why is my sound not working on Internet Explorer?

You probably have your sound muted for the page you are on, or for the computer in general. It could also be that your audio drivers are missing or corrupted.

Well first you can make sure you have active sound go to start-control panel-sound and audio devices. In there make sure you do not have mute on. Also increase the volume bar maybe that will help.

The sound card on your computer may be damaged. My husband went through this exact situation, and we had to replace our Sound Cards.Usually, they will run about 30-50 dollars, depending on where you go. The other problem may be with IE itself,and they can trouble shoot the problem for you if you go to their helpdesk website.

And first select the volume tab the valume is low the sound is not working adjust the sound and you have select the other tab its sound its program events contain multiple events like device connect, device disconnect, mail and etc.. ,

Sound doesn't comes directly over the internet explorer. It comes over plugins. There are two main plugins to support sound: flash and real. So check if you have the newest versions of both installed.

If you are using windows Vista or 7, the program could be muted. Click on the sound icon in the tray and open the mixer. Check if IE is muted.
