Putting bleach on a wound would do more harm than good. Bleach is not designed to disinfect living tissue. It is more potent than antibiotic ointments and would surely destroy the weakened tissue around a wound. It is not easily biodegradable and may contaminate body organs.

If you put undiluted bleach on an open cut then, first of all, it will burn like you have never known and second of all, it could also burn your skin around it. Try diluted Hydrogen Peroxide instead. This will clean the wound. It may sting but it works.

This old fashioned remedy is ill advised - whilst the bleach will eat away the dead tissue, it will also damage good tissue surrounding the wound.

Doctor @ Infectious Diseases in GA - 10x water to 1x bleach is safe and very effective. You can use it on puncture wounds as well.
