For a background a solid color of black or light to dark blue give the nicest effects. Photo backgrounds can add to the perceived depth of the tank. You can put a picture of anything you wish. Be sure to tape it well to keep out dust.

As long as it is on the outside of the fish tank. Make the tank apart of you, personalize it.
