What could be wrong for my cat to have a bloated stomach?

Some Causes of common bloating in cats include: Swallowing excess air or fluid,or it could be the result of a twisted stomach (volvulus) or blockage of the stomach valve, or most commonly Eating quickly and eating too much food because this allows Trapped air and gas in the digestive system, causing bloating.

Your cat may have worms. If you have not done so already, worm your cat and consult with the vet.

Worms are a common cause of bloating in a cat, though there are many other possible causes. If she is an outdoor cat she could pick up worms easily. She should see a vet to rule out any other serious medical issues however before treating for parasites.

This could be constipation, and you can add mineral oil to her food. Could she be pregnant? If this is a urinary tract infection it can be very serious.
