You might be extremely constipated, but if you have been regular I suggest going to the doctor to be checked for diverticulitis, a wrinkling of the intestines that can be very painful and cause gastrointestinal pain and distress. Good luck.

It can be things like Hemorrhoids, or appendicitis. Most of the time, its just something like being constipated, but it may also be a sign of something more serious.

Lower colon pain could be caused by a number of things. Cancer, crohn's disease, colon inflammation, diverticulosis, spastic colon and bacteria infection in your colon, and the list could go on and on. The best advice you could get is to go on and get the doctor to check you out to get to the source.

One of the most common causes of lower colon pain is constipation.Simply put, this is when digested food remains in the colon for too long, allowing it to dry out and harden.Too much buildup of undigested food can cause a "plugged-up" and painful feeling.Less commonly, appendicitis can aslo cause pain in the lower colon area.

There is likely constipation present where there is not enough fluids in the colon to produce a comfortable bowel movement.
