What causes ick on fish?

Ick is caused by a stressed out fish. The stress can come from a dirty tank, or maybe a newly bought fish in a new environment. Don't worry, it is totally curable. All your local pet stores will have treatments. Remember to remove all filter media during the treatment though.

Ick is a parasite caused by stress. These parasites are always present on and around fish, but stress causes the immune system to weaken and allow the fish to get sick. With quick medication, ick is very curable. Most pet stores sell Ick medication for fish.
