this could be something minor like flea bite dermatitis or it could be something really major like feline leukemia. If this is the ONLY symptom your cat has i would get some flea medicine like revolution and some hydrocortisone spray and see if that helps. otherwise see a vet.

There are a couple of cat illness that can cause chunks of fur to come off. If they are bald patches from licking or scratching is may just be fleas.
