The first thing you need to do is make an appointment with your vet as soon as possible. Loss of appetite is a frequent first symptom of a variety of illnesses or conditions, and only your vet can pinpoint the cause. If your cat isn't ill, try switching from dry food to canned. Some cats prefer it.

Take your cat to your veterinarian. If your cat hasn't been eating all day take him/her into an animal hospital for IV feeding to prevent the quick onset of fatty liver disease. Feeding gravy, freeze dried raw food, baby foods or slippery elm bark gruel in the interim might also be helpful. Keep your cat's home routine normal and stress-free.

You have a serious problem and need to see a vet If this is a kidney problem, your cat will stop eating and fail fast. A cat that won't eat is ill. Cats hide illness, if yours is showing a problem, it is past time for the Vet.

You could provide more activities for your cat - scratching posts, toys, maybe even another kitten - to get him/her more active and wanting to eat.

Go look for it if you really care about the appetite. It left for a reason. Probably because of something your cat did.

This can be an indication of a serious problem. Make sure your cat is hydrated, at the very least. If the cat's appetite is not back within a couple of days, you will want to take the cat to the vet. If the cat is not sick, at least the vet can give the cat some vitamins.

Loss of appetite can mean serious health problem so take your kitty to the veterinarian as soon as possible. Veterinarians also can administer a shot that will induce appetite. In the mean time try giving some smelly canned cat food or canned tuna. High calorie supplement may help as well.

If your cat has stopped eating completely, contact a vet immediately. Some cats reduce eating in summer to a minimum. Stopping eating could be due to a kidney failure.

is she sick or old? cat's generally LOVE warm roast chicken, so try buying one from the supermarket, remove the skin and see how you go. Also try microwaving her food they won't eat unless they can smell it and warm food always smells better, especially fishy food, you could even try fish from the market
