What causes anisicoria in infants and what is the standard treatment of it?

My premature baby was recently diagnosed with anisicoria, or the dislocation of her lens.

Anisicoria means that her pupils are of different sizes. For some people this is their normal, for other people this is an indication of problems, some treatable. The type of treatment varies according to the reason for the anisicoria.

Anisicoria is often a secondary result of a drug reaction. In infants, more often that not it is result of an abnormality in the nervous pathways that control the pupil. When confusion and or mental status change are present it may be a neurosurgical emergency. No matter what the case may be, the baby needs a neuro consult.

keep the baby in the incubator till it get fully recovered for the anti viral and infections. or consult your nearest doctor
