Well typically if the engine makes a fast clicking sound when the key is turned to start the vehicle then typically it is the starter. It will sometimes make that sound when the batter is low or when the starter is stuck.
The clicking sound that you are experiencing is going from your clutch near the actual motor. You will need to have this replaced or if the damage is bad it needs to be repaired.
