It can be a variety of things. The most common thing is the tire is out of balance. Another reason this could happen is if your car needs an alignment. Lastly and probably the least possible reason would be if the tire is out of round. Go to a tire shop and they can remedy it for you.

The first thing I would check would be my tires. Look them over and see if any one of them is starting to get cups in the tread or see if the tread is separating from the cord. Then make sure they are balanced properly. Then check the shocks.

Several things can cause a vibration while driving. Some of the most common problems are misalignment of the frame or tires that have worn unevenly. A tire can also lose a balance weight which will cause shaking when driving at higher speeds as well. You may also have a damaged shock or strut on one side.

One or more of the wheels has probably lost a wheel weight - a small lead mass crimped onto the edge of the rim used to balance the wheel.
