The May Beatle is a pretty standard inscet. Genus Insectiva, Class Beatalia, Family Termitia. It is a wood eating beetle native to the American Southwest, Mexico and Central America. It prefers soft woods and cacti and can be a landscappers personal demon. Their natural predators the Gila Monster are endangered and they are growing in numbers rapidly.

This is all of the information I have on the May beetle or Junebug: its scientific name is the phyllophaga (Coleoptera: Scarabeidae) and it is a leaf eating beetle found in North America that tends to make its appearance in May/June. It will feed on roots of grass and other vegetation.
