Your GFR is your "Gross Flow Rate" a measurement of how well and quickley your kidneys are filtering your blood. The problem with bulimia is that it screws up your electrolyte level and your body pulls minerals and salts out of your tissues and into you blood thickening it. This can eventually kill you.

Well basically the GFR of the kidney goes down. It becomes very low because of bulimia. You are basically ruining your kidney each time you throw up.

This particular condition can be caused by bulimia as the individual tends to suffer from malnutrition. In this case the body shuts down this includes vital organs as there is not adequate nutrition.

There is no known link between glomerular filtration rate as a function indicator for kidney disease and bulimia that I am aware of. You might want to refer to a nephrologist for more details.

There isn't an obvious physiologic connection. Any electrolyte imbalances caused by the bulimia could exacerbate problems that arise from a compromised GFR, however.

Bulimia is most commonly a physiological disease. Someone who is bulimic can cause damage to other bodily functions. One such way bulimia effects your body can be kidney damage and even kidney failure if both issues are left untreated. Lack of nutrients is on reason bulimia effects the function of ones kidneys.
