The Heckler and Koch MP7 is a small submachinegun designed around a unique small caliber, high velocity round designed to penetrate low-level (soft) body armor. It's release in 2001 was intended to compete with the similar Five-Seven series of firearms released by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium.
