You do not want paint on paper with oil. Oil will saturate the paper and bleed everywhere. Only use oil based paints on canvas for portraits. Or use oil based paints on soft woods for furniture.

You can buy a oil canvas paper that is for painting with oils. Try a less expensive paper to practice on and a high quality for your final paintings.
