What can you tell me about harvesting dill weed?

It's a pretty simple process. Let the plant grow without trimming and allow the flowers to fade and pods develop. Once the seed pods turn brown you can cut the stems and hang them upside down to dry. Once the seeds dry they will fall naturally and you can shake them onto a cloth or bag for easier collection.

When the dill plant has five leaves, you can start harvesting it. You can harvest stalks and all or just leaves. Snip leaves from plant or pinch off plant.

Harvest dill weed throughout the entire growing season. Clip off as much of the dill weed leaves as you need. Use dry or fresh in soups and when making pickles.

when you are harvesting dill weed. the seeds have a better and stronger flavor then the plant itself so if you want the best out of the plant go for the seeds
