What can you tell me about getting an 1L job?

1L jobs are summer jobs that are filled by top of the class students. Most companies are looking for talent in there field and they go to the college to get these students/ So you will need to impress an employer with your talent to get the job.

I work start my job search before the end of the first semister. November is probably a good time to start applying. You need to decide if you want to work near your school or away. Many schools will have listings of local work. If your looking for federal work or non-profit their listing are in on-line databases.

The process can become quite taxing but fear not,once that first year of Law School passes and you have done some clerking,all will be well! I would,on the other hand, begin your networking process early on so before all the good jobs are taken. One can never suck up enough at the 1L level and good luck.
