Most people have relatively little issues with returning fertility after Mirena, an intrauterine device (IUD), is removed. Many become fertile in the next couple of menstrual cycles and can bear children shortly thereafter. Mirena is becoming a favored birth control method for women who already have children and may have another.

Theoretically, you can become pregnant as soon as your Mirena IUC is removed. However, it may take a few normal menstrual cycles in order for your body to reacclimate to being able to conceive, however the hormone levels in Mirena are relatively low.

As soon as the IUD is removed, you may experience a few abnormal cycles, but as soon as your body starts ovulating normally again then conception should be possible.
