Dracena like bright but indirect light, such as near a lightly-curtained window. Standard room temperature (around 70 degrees) is ideal. They don't tolerate overwatering well; soaking them about once a week (and letting the container drain well!) is usually enough. Mealy bugs, spider mites, and scale are pests to keep an eye out for.

The Dracaena like moderate, indirect light. Increase humidity for the plant by setting on a tray of pebbles which are watered, but water the plant itself sparingly, and dry out partially between waterings. Trim or remove dead or browned leaves. Keep at 65 to 75 degrees Farenheit, below 65 will stunt growth.

Dracaena plants need filtered light and warm temperatures all year preferably between 65 and 75 degrees. Water should be low to moderate, allowing the plant to dry out between watering. Leaves that turn brown usually mean excess water, although there will be some normal leaf drop as the plant grows.
