The fuel pump on a Silverado is located under the truck in the fuel tank. You will need to completely remove the tank. Once you take it down and out you are ready to place the fuel pump.
For all Silverado models 1999 and up, the fuel pump replacement can be complicated because the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. This means the fuel tank has to be lowered or removed completely to get to the fuel pump.
Replacing a fuel pump on a truck is an expensive and cumbersome project. Unless you are fairly competent with auto repairs I would suggest having a professional do it.
