Inertia activated fuel shut off switches are a bad idea for a boat, the switch would be prone to shutting off fuel as the boat is bouncing in chop or waves. If you are caught in bad weather you could get in serious trouble quickly without propulsion. Also anything electrical on a boat must be properly rated by law.
