What can you tell me about 200 amp cables?

They are generally: copper, quiet thick, well insulated. If you are thinking of routing 200 amp over a long distance then it will be A. really expensive B. Very heavy (You can't carry the rolls, they require a truck)

200 AMP cables are fine for light electronics and lighting fixtures. However, DO NOT use a 200 AMP cable for energy thirsty objects.

In stranded cable, the DC electric current divides equally among all the strands. If a 200-amp cable has 200 strands, then each strand actually has only 1. 0 ampere. It is simply a cable that carries a heavy amount of current through its length.

Two hundred amp cables are for subwoofers and amplifiers for cars. They are good because the sound quality sounds so much better if you use the heavy amp cable on the speakers and amp.
