Generally, acetaminophen (Tylenol, e.g.) is considered safe during pregnancy BUT you should always check with your doctor before taking any medication of any kind during your pregnancy.

They can safely take Tylenol or any generic acetaminophen, as long as the dosage does not go over 4000 mg per day. Ibuprofen pills such as Advil should be used with caution, as these can cause miscarriage in early months for women with a history of miscarriages. If you have any questions or concerns, you should call your doctor.

Pregnant women should, ideally, not take anything for headaches unless it is a completely natural product. Things like warm water with honey, apple juice and applying hot water bottles to the head are your safest bets.
