At 103 degrees, I would recommend taking your baby right to emergency, as this temperature is too high (anything over 102 and you should).

The best advice is to call your doctor right away. 103 is high and the child might become dehydrated. Only your physician can tell you what to do or even take him to the emergenc room. I would not administer anything to a small child without checking with your doctor first.

Try giving your eleven month old the recommended dosage of motrin based on his or her weight in order to bring down their fever.

Try infant acetaminophen (Tylenol). If that doesn't help, ibuprofen (baby Motrin) may work better. Be sure to follow the correct dose for your child's weight. A cool bath can also help bring a high temperature down quickly, but your baby will still need the medication to keep the fever down.
