What can I do if there is too much of a gap between countertop and stove?

Sometimes, if a stove doesn't fit correctly between the countertops, the stove at times will come with a strip to act as a filler. If it doesn't, you could possibly get in contact with the manufacturer and see if they have fillers to send to you to resolve the issue.

If there is a gap then you could buy a bigger stove or move your counter-top. You could also fill it with something but that would make it tacky looking.

It depends on how large the gap is. If it is fairly large, get a piece of wood that will fill the space and attach it to the cabinet. You can then cover it with countertop material or tile grout, then seal it. If it is a fairly narrow gap, look for a gasket that will fill the space.
