Generally, water from the outside isn't a covered loss. However, if your windows were installed by a contractor, you may have a liability claim against them for improper installation.

One way of fixing your leaking vinyl window is by putting in a gasket or some sort of epoxy or glue for vinyl, somewhat like a rubberize glue, its quite easy to fix that one if you have the tools. or you can contact the one that installed your vinyl sliding door to fix the problem.
