Other than a wind storm? Just take your time, start at the top and locate all the nails. Once you get the top piece off each piece will reveal its nail holes and you can start pulling them out. Watch some one put up siding and do the opposite would be my best advice, scaffolding might help.

If there is nothing under the plywood itself, then yes the vinyl sliding can be removed. But if there is substantial work done underneath, then there would be many nails that would require removal before you remove the vinyl. This can be a very tedious down and should be left to professionals.

Use the claw end of a hammer to pull the nails out, and then just use muscle. You should be able to pull the vinyl right off.

Once you remove the first piece the rest will be easy. Each panel has a trim for nails. Once you remove the nails the siding should come off. You will have alot of nail holes in your remaining siding. So be prepared to caulk.

You can do this by starting at the bottom and taking out the first strip. Remember you will have many holes to deal with when this is done.

Removing vinyl siding is relatively easy - it is simply the reverse of the installation. Use a pry bar and hammer to get between the siding, opening it until the first row is loose. Remove the nails along the top edge. Continue this until all of the siding is removed.

First ,I would go to the local hardware store and buy the siding lift tool to pry up the first piece, beginning at the top row prying the bottom lip across the full row. This will expose the nail heads which are exposed enough to claw out. continue working down.
