First I would reccomend that you call the company or email them about the problem with your nordic track incline system to see if they can help you troubleshoot your problem to get it working. If that does not work I would say get your money back from the company and buy something else.
Your first step would be to check with the company. It might be a defect that has happened to others as well as you. Additionally check your warranty, it is likely that the company will replace any defective parts in a given amount of time.
Do you have the manual that came with the nordic track. If not, call the company and maybe they can trouble shoot over the phone. There might be a gear that is stuck. If you are handy you can fix this.
