What can I do if I can not prevent my cat from scratching her ear?

It's possible your cat has ear mites. Look inside. Do you see brown stuff that looks like coffee grounds? Get a reliable and safe treatment such as Revolution from your vet. Ear mites can be very dangerous to your cat's ear canal. Be sure any treatment you get gets rid of ear mites!

If your cat is scratching her ear, she may have ear mites or an ear infection. I recommend a vet visit to have the ears examined.

If your Cat is really scratching herself A LOT she probably has something going on with her ear. It could be an ear infection or some kind of bug such as; fleas or mites. You should take her to the Vet because she's probably in pain if you can hear her crying when she scratches.

First you need to find out why she's scratching her ear in the first place. There is probably a reason, so you need to take care of it.
