Return the movies to the place from which they were rented and ask to speak with the manager about either forgiving the fees or negotiating a lower amount to be paid.

If you feel they are unjust, speak with the manager and see if you can have the fees removed or lessened. If the late fees are correct, then, legally, you do owe the store the money. You may want to try a web-based movie service in the future.
