What can I do about my dvd door which will not close?

Open the player and see if the door itself is dirty or being blocked by something, see if the gears which control the door are aligned properly and are connecting with the door's gear teeth, make sure the disc is not preventing the door from closing by not being inserted properly.

The DVD door to any DVD player should be able to close with a slight push. Make sure you're not jamming the tray somehow. Try unplugging and replugging the device. If it still doesn't work, try using the remote or menu. If it still fails, buy a new one.

You should see if there is anything that is jamming the door. Also there may be a small emergency eject button that you can push with a hairpin. See if that unsticks it and now allows you to close it. If not you may need professional repair.

Try switching it off and on a few times at the wall. If it makes a noise and doesn't close then the band may have just sipped, otherwise there could be a fault with the motor which controls the door's movement. Either way I'd get a shop to look at it (take it back if it's in warranty).

The door to the dvd side is broken and won't close. you have change your dvd door. the open close controlled moter power connection was disconnected. so desoldring it. you gave a external power to the motor do you see it was working or not. itsnot workingyou changethat motor

Please remove top cover of the dvd then check if the belt on the minimotor is loose or removed from it. The minimotor is located at near the door. if it not,please pull the door to outside by removing the side locks. After removing,press the open/close button and fix the door again.
