There are medication that can be bought from local petstores that can help with the flea problem They are usually shampoos and sprays that can help and are especially designed for ferrets so that they will not harm the animal in any way. Do not use anything for cats and dog products.

I recommend that you give them a flea dip. I would also fog your home and clean anything they use to sleep. You may find that if you only flea dip the ferrets the fleas maybe in your home and get back on the ferrets.

U can use the same deterrent as you would use on a cat. The only difference is that u have to use less of it because ferrets are much smaller. And u can spill it probably in the same spot you would do it on a cat, on the back of the neck. So the pet can't lick it.

They'll need to be washed with a flea shampoo - ask at your pet supplies shop. Then comb them with a flea comb. All their bedding should also be washed. To keep them from getting fleas in the future, check with your vet about what treatments are appropriate for ferrets.

Clean the cage, clean your house, flea bomb your house, wash ferret with kitten antiflea shampoo, use flea comb to get remaining fleas. Repeat process after 3 days. If this doesn't work take ferret to vet while flea bombing your house for a professional flea dip.

Give your ferret a bath with flea killing shampoo and scrub the hair thoroughly. Once it is dry apply flea medicine brought from vet's office. Fleas should be eliminated from house by sprinkling flea powder and vacuum it completely. Wash the bedding since fleas live in couch carpet and bedding. Finally, put a flea collar on your ferret.

Just like you would a dog, you start off with a flea shampoo and bathe the ferrets. Then get flea medicine and apply to the neck. Vacuum often.

There is a flea shampoo made for ferrets, ask your vet for info on this. When bathing, always start with your ferrets head first, and work your way down.

Take your ferrets to their vet and ask him how you could go about getting flea medication for them. He is probably going to suggest the same kind that is used for dogs and cats, but please get your vets professional opinion on this matter.

Since ferrets groom themselves don't use products that can be harmful if ingested. A simple warm bath using a dishwashing liquid should be sufficient.

There are flea combs you can get to remove the pests. You might also ask your vet about using sprays designed for cats on your ferret. There are also sonic deterrenets and in-home traps that reduce the number of fleas. There are also pills you can give the animal to kill eggs.
