Any animal with fur can carry fleas including humans hair. It can harbor fleas. There is a ferret flea shampoo and you can treat your home also.

Yes ferrets can get fleas. While I worked in an animal shelter we had to flea infested ferrets and we consulted the veterinarian who said we could apply the topical Frontline spray. Contact your vet for proper dosage as it is different that for dogs or cats.
