"BT" is a product made of dead worms that you spray on worms to kill them. Be aware that when you kill caterpillars, you are also killing the butterflies they might become. "BT" is a liquid you spray on with a garden hose sprayer.

There are many pesticides available that can kill off infestations of caterpillars. MOst Insects have certain types of plants they feed off of. This will be a every year occurence probably. The way to solve it yearly is removing the foliage they prefer to eat and nest in.

Boric acid in powder form is a safe way to get rid of the pests. The pests are going to be very hard to get rid of if you don' t stay on top of them. It is important to make sure if you put down chemicals that you keep pets away from them.

Well if your yard is invested with these bugs, then you want to actually spray some ammonium into your yard. This will drive the caterpillars away in no time than expected.

You might try a solution of 1/4c dishwashing liquid to 1qt very hot water in a squirt bottle; it should kill them. Fly paper around tree trunks works too.

The thing that works best on any out of the norm infestation is pesticide. Try to find a natural insect killer such as ones containing wood ashes or cinnamon. If you see any caterpillars that are larger than the others pick him off and kill it. Eliminate the ones that could be producing the others.

Lime your yard it will fertalize the yard and it burns the caterpillars so they will leave but when it rains you may need to repeat but it should only take a couple applications and they shouldn't come back again.
