What can I do about a fear of large bugs?

I am scared to death of being bitten.

You could try your own version of exposure therapy. Just gradually start forcing yourself to get closer and closer to large bugs. For instance, you might first get comfortable with standing next to a large bug in a cage, then a bug flying in the same room, etc. until you are no longer so afraid.

The best way to overcome a fear is to face it head on. Force yourself to be near large bugs despite being scared.
