What can I do about a child who is peeing in her pants?

My daughter has been toilet trained for a year or so and has just started wetting herself.

Please consider making an appointment with your daughter's doctor. I know several children this happened with -- one turned out to be diabetic and needed medical help. One turned out to have been sexually molested and needed psychological help. The others were fine and needed some affirmation and positive attention to get back on track.

1. Cut back on caffeine or salty snacks, which can make the problem worse. 2. Find out if there is a recent trauma that has caused this. For example, stress or anxiety of a new school. 3. This can also happen if the child is not getting enough bathroom breaks. Take her potty more often.

You should take her to her pediatrician to rule out any medical condition that might be causing her to wet herself. Their is a good chance she could have an infection or something else going on.

If your child is wetting her pants make her throw away her favorite cartoon character panties, and she will be devistated. She will not wet her pants again.
