Make sure he is getting a good diet and get him to a qualified exotics vet ASAP. Diarrhea can be fatal in rodents if not treated promptly.

Do not give the hamster any treats like fruits and vegetables because it can make the hamster sicker. Switch his food to only oats which will help bind his stool. You can find oats at a pet store. If it doesn't stop you should take him to the vet who can give him a course of antibiotics.

This is usually all about diet. You'll want to get him to see an exotics vet immediately. Diarrhea is fatally traumatic to rodents. Change his diet and clean his living space from top to bottom. Throw everything out and clean with bleach. Replace his water and straw and even his wheel is he has one.

First I would take everything out of his cage and clean it with soapy hot water and maybe some bleach, but rinse everying off well. Then I would give he fresh everything. Water and buy new food. Throw the old food out. Make sure that whoever is handling him wears latex gloves until the diarrhea goes away.

Diarrhea in Hamster is usually caused by intestinal blockage. Provide Alfalfa in its diet and stop feeding it fruits and vegetables until he gets better.

It is possible that he has wet tail. You should try to get some antibiotics from a vet, or a baytril solution from a pet store.

Watch the food you are giving the hamster; if you recently switched brands, return to the original one. If it persists, take him to the vet for a checkup soon.
