Common breeds are the American and the Abyssinian. Others are the Crested, the Teddy, the Peruvian, the Silkie and the Texel. Also hairless guinea pigs, the Baldwin and the Skinny.

There are many breeds, from the typical American Shorthair to the mop-like Silkie. The Abyssinian has "rosettes", which is basically swirls in its fur. The Peruvian has long fur that requires a lot of grooming. The Crested has a single rosette on its head between its ears.
